From Our Family To Yours

So how did Strosnider Chevrolet come to be? Ervin Strosnider brought his family to Hopewell, VA, in 1966 to a Chevrolet dealership in the downtown area, where the Hardee's now stands. It wasn't long after that he envisioned a new dealership where only the woods would separate him from Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee) on the west side of the city. This is where the existing Strosnider Chevrolet, Inc. dealership at 5200 Oaklawn Boulevard now stands.

We've been family-owned and operated for more than 50 years, and our present building has survived a major fire that leveled the showroom in 1996, a hurricane or two, and two building additions. After Ervin’s passing, his son Chris Strosnider took over as President and his brother Craig Strosnider served as Vice President until his retirement at the end of 2021. Two of Chris’ sons, Kevin and Michael, are taking the dealership into the third generation of service to our community.
